We offer many types of black bear hunts in order to provide "the trophy Bear hunt of your dreams". Better yet, with each package, if you stay in our cabin rentals, all meals are included (unless otherwise specified).

1. Guided Black Bear Hunts, Hunting - Bear Over Bait:
This guided Maine bear hunting trip includes transportation to and from your bait site, all lodging, but NO meals. Our cabins are equipped so you can either have meals included (for an extra fee), or cook your own meals in your cabin.
PACKAGE PRICE: $1200.00
2. Guided Maine Black Bear Hunting, Hunts - Bear Over Bait:
A fully guided hunt which includes all transportation to and from your bait site, lodging and meals.
PACKAGE PRICE: $1500.00
3. Guided Maine Black Bear Hunting, Hunts with Hounds:
Includes lodging but NO meals. You have a choice to cook your own meals in your cabin.
PACKAGE PRICE: $1650.00
4. Guided Maine Black Bear Hunts, Hunting with Hounds:
Includes lodging (Maine cabin rentals) and all meals.
PACKAGE PRICE: $1900.00
5. Non-Guided Maine Black Bear Hunts- Bear Over Bait, and Remote Tent Site.
You bait, take yourself to your stand and cook your own meals in your tent. Included in the tent are all cooking supplies, drinking water, cots with padding, pillows, lantern, table, chairs, cooking stove, coffee pot, etc. A full list of items will be sent to you so nothing is left behind. A TRUE Maine Bear hunting experience!
PACKAGE 1 PRICE (one hunter): $900.00
PACKAGE 2 PRICE (partner package - 2 or 3 hunters in one tent): $850.00.
6. Non-Guided Maine Bear Hunting (with Lodging in Our Cabins) Trip Package:
A do it yourself hunt at your own pace. This hunt comes with or without meals.
PACKAGE PRICE WITH MEALS: $1,300.00
PACKAGE PRICE COOKING YOUR OWN MEALS: $1050.00
* We limit
our Bait hunts to 10 people per week. This provides
a proper ratio of hunter to guide, which also
provides the best chance for you to take a trophy
bear. If you're tried of big groups, poor service,
and poor results - then try Sunrise Ridge. This
is a premium trip!
* Kill
ratio with “over bait” hunts is 70 to 100 % , and sightings are 95%.
* Prices
for hunts are per person and with a 5 day stay
(including meals and lodging). A 50% deposit
is required when making reservations, and the
remaining balance is due 60 days prior to arrival.
Deposits are non-refundable, but you are welcome
to choose someone else to take your place. Personal
checks are welcome for deposits ONLY.
* All above
packages also include the skinning of your black bear!
IMPORTANT! - All
hunters MUST bring the following items with
them:
“Quiet” Rain gear
Weapon of choice
Ammunition
Appropriate game license
Game tag
Camera & film (for great memories!)
Compass (never go into the woods without one)
Warm clothing (evenings can get cool)
Rubber boots
Flashlight and knife
Padded cushion (during Bear over bait season)
Big game license from your home state (in order
to purchase a Maine hunting license).
Cooler for meat
Two articles of “Hunter Orange” must be worn
at all times during Deer season (one of which
MUST be a hat). During Moose season, you'll need
a single article of orange clothing (hat or vest)
Full camouflage suit with face mask (for Bear
over bait trips)
